Thomas, first Count de Clonard in France,  was the Grandfather of   Thomas Robert BUGEAUD DE LA PICONNERIE

MARECHAL DE FRANCE, MARQUIS DE LA PICONNERIE, ET DUKE D'ISLY (1784 - 1849), his mother was  Lady Frances. 

Thomas also was a 'Syndic of the French East India Company'.
